Well it is 4 AM and I couldn't sleep any more so I decided to get up and start my day. I'm waiting for the coffee to finish brewing so I can have my one and only cup of coffee before the race and have a nice breakfast. I can't believe the day is finally here...I am ready to get the show on the road.
I keep telling myself---just go out there and have fun...smile at the cameras and do not look like I am in pain---which I probably will be. I looked at last years pictures and yuk---I looked like I was dying!
So here goes...I am ready!

The day before Race Day
Well here it is---the day before the big race day. This time tomorrow I will be down at Crown Center getting ready to run 13.1 miles. The race starts at 7:30 but I like to get there early to be sure I am there and ready to go. It is supposed to be 48 degrees in the morning early but warm up fast and since I don't like the heat I plan to try to keep up a good pace while it is cooler without going out too fast---I'm not ever really fast but I am hoping to finish in 2 1/2 hours.
The week has gone by quickly. I'm hoping that the deck will be finished today. If so I'll post a picture tomorrow along with a race day photo.

Here is Deb with Blooming Jacks---she is almost done!
Sandy was doing one of my Cupboard Patterns called Paisley and she was adding a row of hooked braiding around the edge. As you can see she is almost there---she was happy she made it around all the corners.
Peggy was also doing a Cupboard piece called Pumpkin vine- She prodded the bittersweet caps and chained the vine---not showing up well in my picture but it looked great.
I mailed the orders yesterday so Deb, Joelee and Tonee---be expecting a package in the mail.

Wednesday already!
Were has the week gone? Only three more days until my half marathon...I'm getting excited!
Today is class day here at home so I have to do this in a hurry so I can go get ready.
Yesterday I did some dyeing---mostly orders and some more long spots because they were almost gone. I also serged my Cape Ann and prepared the binding for it. It is ready to go to the lake next week to be finished.
It has been fun having my sister here from California. The Deck is getting closer to being finished---hoping to have steps today---yeah!!!

This is Jane's second rug---she had started the rug at Cambria and had gotten stuck, so my mission was to get her going again---yeah---we did it! It is going to be a great rug.

Back home from Phoenix
Well I had a great time in Phoenix---thank you to a great group of women who made it an enjoyable fun-filled time. I had the great pleasure of catching up with my friend Peggy who I knew from Alaska who now lives in Arizona as well as spending time with Diane who shared her wonderful apt. #1 with me and all the great gals at the Quilted Apple who were so great to work with.
The day I arrived the hail storm in Phoenix made the national news...it was quite a site. It brought in some cooler weather---yeah! The mornings and evenings were quite cool so I managed to get in my morning runs and I even climbed Pinnacle Peak! Running there was great because it was flat and not humid! My half marathon is this Saturday and I think that I am ready or as ready as I am ever going to be.

Diane was working on a pictorial that she designed in a class with Pris Butler in Texas.
I'll post more pictures in the next few days but I am too tired to continue. Today is my daughter Chelsea's second Wedding anniversary. they went back to where they tied the know two years ago in Occidental CA---and they are camping on the coast in Ca. Happy Anniversary Chelsea and Noah!

Tuesday at the Airport
Well here I am at the airport. I took a picture this morning of my most recent rug, Cape Ann, an Edyth O'Neill design. It is not bound yet but here is is.
I hooked this rug to put in our bathroom. I'll post another picture when it is bound and in it's new home.

Monday---preparing to leave for Phoenix
Good morning!
I thought I would post a link to my daughter Chelsea and her husband Noah's ETSY store---visit it if you like some cool vintage finds.

I have to get downstairs and finish packing for the Quilted Apple workshop in Phoenix but thought I would get out one more post.
When we got home from the lake I went and picked up this patio set that I found on Craigslist---here is my husband trying it out. The deck is still not finished but I am hopeful it will be when I get home from Phoenix.

No this is not a rug but it is a pretty picture taken towards the lake in front of our trailer. They have been lowering the lake level to do some work on the dam. Our cove has almost no water in it right now---earlier in the summer all the ground you see was under water.

Thursday---almost the end of the week
I went to a few garage sales this morning---here are a few of my finds.
The quilt is a crib size quilt.
Tomorrow morning is my last long training run---I plan to do another 2 hour run. It is going to be perfect weather! We are planning a quick trip to the lake---it should be beautiful there. I am looking forward to the trees turning color---I love fall.
Tuesday morning I leave for Phoenix...have already shipped two big boxes and sent two suitcases back with Diane and will bring two more with me---her empties which she brought for me to take back. Thanks Diane---you are great!
I am thinking good thoughts for my daughter and her husband in California---he has a second interview tomorrow for a job in San Francisco---good luck ! I have fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed!!!
I am looking forward to seeing Project runway tonite! I think I'll go get some hooking to do while I watch it.
