- I am a rug hooker and teach rug hooking classes in my home as well as at camps and workshops around the country. I live in Overland Park, KS. I love using lots of plaids, textures and antique paisley in my rugs and hook mostly in wide cut (#6-9). I received my McGown certification in 2001. I love to share my knowledge and passion for hooked rugs with my students.
