I am a rug hooker and teach rug hooking classes in my home as well as at camps and workshops around the country. I live in Overland Park, KS. I love using lots of plaids, textures and antique paisley in my rugs and hook mostly in wide cut (#6-9). I received my McGown certification in 2001. I love to share my knowledge and passion for hooked rugs with my students.
We have had rain all day---so I got some more hooking done. Here is the update on my rug. I'm still wondering if the red is too strong---I love red but I'll have to get more hooked to see what happens.
I also baked a custard pie---my favorite. My sister and her husband are coming for dinner and to spend the night at the trailer. It will be lots of fun. We are having surf and turf---filet and shrimp.
Hi Anita! These new rug progress photos always make me crave a mocha. Those are some yummy colors. I think you are wise to wait until you get more hooked to decide about the red. That's what my rug hooking teacher always says... wait, that's you!!! Hope you are getting a little break from the rain. A.
